Blog Post #11

At this point, I don’t have an internship because they only allow Cal students from the one I applied for. If I would have gotten the internship at C.R.E.A.T.E, I would have imagined my first impression would have been a good one. I think I would have liked their environment because they seem like great people to be around with.

I was emailing with one of the members, her name is Olivia; she tried helping me get into her program but her faculty advisor only allows Cal students. She was kind enough to try and it was very generous of her to email me back with other options that allow high schoolers to intern at. There’s a good chance we might meet up, that way she can help me find a good internship that involves what I am looking for. They are partnered with other organizations that have similar goals as them. I hope we are able to meet because her guidance will help me out a lot.

If I was allowed in, I think my work styles would have been compatible with theirs because I would have been as dedicated like them to teach a class. I could have learned how to stay patient because they do work with kids. Also, how to teach a class full of adults who are interested in theater or visual arts. It would have been fun and interesting to see how I would teach adults. That’s a crazy concept for me to think about because most of the teaching in my life comes from adults, I would have enjoyed it though. Hoping I am able to find something as similar as C.R.E.A.T.E in an internship, if not then goodbye walking that stage in June. Pray for me…

I have no clue who they are but they praying for me to find an internship.
